Tesla expected Cybercab to become its main robotaxi fleet vehicle

In April 2026, Tesla said it expected Cybercab to replace Model Y over time as the fleet’s largest-volume vehicle.

Our interpretation is that a future fleet should avoid treating the transition as instantaneous. Acquisition plans need to consider the service life of existing assets and the availability of the new format. Tesla’s stated expectation is relevant to long-term planning, but it does not promise an allocation to outside owners or establish how Cybercab Collective could participate.
