From a first Cybercab to an operating fleet: four milestones to separate
A production-line photo, a factory ramp and a passenger launch each prove something different. None should stand in for all the others.
The first unit from a production line shows that the process has produced a vehicle. Continuous production indicates repeatable activity. A volume ramp concerns the rate and scale of output. Deployment concerns vehicles actually put into their intended service.

Installed capacity is a potential capability. Cumulative production counts vehicles built over a period. A deployed fleet counts vehicles assigned to an operation. Active vehicles at a particular time can be a smaller group again. Substituting one measure for another can make availability look much larger than it is.
Cybercab’s February and April 2026 manufacturing milestones illustrate why these stages receive separate entries in our archive. The date of an early build does not become the date on which every interested outside buyer could obtain a vehicle.
Collective perspective
A procurement plan would need a specific allocation, delivery timing and support arrangement. Infrastructure spending should be coordinated with those commitments, while leaving room for staged delivery and commissioning.
We would also ask what happens during the transition from a small fleet to a larger one. Charging, cleaning and maintenance capacity may need to grow in steps. A factory increasing output does not automatically solve those local operating constraints.
The useful conclusion from each manufacturing milestone is therefore narrow but important: one part of readiness has advanced. The remaining parts still need their own evidence.
