Charging without a person connecting a cable could address one of the tasks that remains after removing the driver. But a charging concept also creates infrastructure questions: what equipment is required, where it can be installed and how many vehicles it can support through a busy day.
For a collective fleet, the relevant metric would be productive vehicle time after charging, cleaning and maintenance. A depot should be sized around arrival patterns and recovery capacity, not just the number of cars owned. The reveal signaled a direction; equipment compatibility, installation costs and operational performance would still need verification.
